About Refiki
We all know about Rafiki, the friendly and wise monkey from Disney's The Lion King. But what you may not know is that Rafiki actually means "friend" in Swahili.
So when we hear the friendly and wise monkey say to Simba, "I am Rafiki", we can also assume he is saying "I am your friend".
So what does this have to do with Refiki the app?
Well nothing really, but Refiki (spelled with an e), is a spin off of the term Rafiki, or the Swahili word for friend. The prefix "Ref" represents referral, so when we put the two together we get "Friend Referral".
Friend referral's are the most trusted types of referrals we can get. They come from a trusted source who we know is real and will want to help us with honest reviews, not paid or fake reviews that are often attributed to other popular review websites and apps.
Refiki seeks to take the friction out of finding referrals that you can trust by allowing you to build lists with you friends.
These lists can be anything, from a list of your (and your friends) favorite restaurants, service provides, vacation spots, books, quotes, bands, etc.
You can even create political lists to learn more about local civic issues or ask for specifics about elections.
And with custom lists, the possibilities are endless.
